Applications are now open!

We are delighted to announce that applications are now open for the Wangaratta LGBTIQA+ Leadership Program.

What is this program about?

The intention of this program is to strengthen the capacity of the LGBTIQA+ community in Wangaratta, by way of equipping participants with the skills needed to commence or continue their leadership journey.

What will participants learn?

The program will explore leadership fundamentals that are: strategic, results orientated, collaborative and inspiring.

Participants will learn skills and gain an understanding of: developing a vision and mission, strategic planning, basic governance, grant writing, developing partnerships, key messaging and more!

Who can participate?

We are seeking participants for this program from Wangaratta and surrounds that identify or represent the LGBTIQA+ community.  We are looking to bring together a cohort of diverse individuals, who represent a range of ages, backgrounds, and leadership experience.  You don’t have to be part of an established group or service agency to participate in this program, we aim to support all emerging leaders from our LGBTIQA+ community.

How much is it? And when?

Joint funding was secured for the purpose of this program, through the Into Our Hands Foundation and The Funding Network. This means there is no cost to participants – entirely free.

There are up to 25 places available; participants must be aged 18 years or older.

The program will run over 2 days, Friday 19th and Saturday 20th March; program hours for both days will be 9am – 5pm. The program will be delivered at Wang Central, 15-17 Ely Street, Wangaratta.
