Are you ready to transform your leadership potential and create impact in your community? AVCL invites young people aged 18-30 to join our immersive 4-day leadership development program, designed to elevate your personal leadership capacity, enhance your skills, and expand your networks.

The program will be delivered by Anthony and Mel Nicholson from The Mandala Project. It will run in Yackandandah over 4 consecutive days (including overnight stays), from Thursday 7th – Sunday 10th November 2024.

The program will challenge participants and utilise an experiential approach, exploring:

  • Leadership Fundamentals: Gain a solid foundation in the core principles of effective leadership.
  • Understanding Group-Based Dynamics: Learn to navigate and lead within group settings.
  • Community Resilience: Explore strategies for building strong, resilient communities.
  • Creating Networks: Connect with like-minded individuals and create a robust professional network.
  • Mental Health, Personal Resilience, and Well-Being: Prioritise your mental health and well-being while increasing your understanding of personal resilience.
  • Community Leadership in Action: See leadership principles in practice within community settings.
  • Reflection: Engage in reflective practices to deepen your learning experience.
  • Public Speaking: Hone your public speaking skills to inspire and lead others.

  • Cost: $100
  • Ages: 18 – 30
  • Living in, or with a connection to (through leisure, participation, work, schooling etc) the following LGAs: Alpine, Alpine Resorts (including the Falls Creek Mount Hotham Mount Buller and Mount Stirling alpine resort areas only), Indigo, Mansfield, Towong, Wangaratta, Wodonga.
  • Interest in developing personal leadership capacity.
  • Commitment to complete the full four days / three nights involved in program delivery.
