Sophie Enders – Deputy Co-Chair
Sophie is a graduate of the 2018-19 AVCL Annual Program, joining the Board in April 2022. Sophie is the Project Coordinator for Swamps, Rivers & Ranges Inc. as well as working with Charles Stuart University and MDYC Moyhu Gymnastics club. She holds a Bachelor of Wildlife and Conservation Biology from La Trobe University. Sophie has a strong environmental and community focus, and is passionate about involving people with activities and access to our local North-East environments. She is interested in the protection of and education regarding natural environments and the Flora and Fauna within them and the role of leadership within this. Sophie lives in Wangaratta and enjoys Gymnastics, outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.
Steve Belli – Deputy Co-Chair
Steve resides in the mountains of Dinner Plain and spends most of his time working within the community. In addition to being appointed to the AVCL board, he has spent time on the AVCLP Alumni Sub Committee after completing the annual program in 2022. Steve works in the Alpine area of the High Country and currently holds an extensive number of voluntary positions. In his spare time, he runs several Alpine based businesses at Mt Hotham and Dinner Plain. Steve is a staunch networker and is excited to be part of the AVCL board. He brings his broad range of business contacts and knowledge to the board.
Ameer Jhingoor
Ameer joined the Board in October 2023. Ameer is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of experience. He is a Director Logicca Chartered Accountant and specialises in audit and assurance, and financial reporting of a diverse range of organisations from private companies, public companies, and not-for profit organisations. Ameer is a Registered Company Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner and a CA Forensic Accounting Specialist. Ameer looks forward to applying his professional skills to support the community focused endeavours of AVCL.
Elise Hill
Elise is a graduate of the 2022 Annual Program and joined the Board in October 2023. Having worked in the health sector for several years Elise now works with her husband on their Holstein Friesian Dairy Stud. She has a passion for the dairy industry and is involved in local community groups including the annual Corryong Spirit event. Elise looks forward to increasing her own capacity while supporting improved outcomes across the North East and Border regions.
Megan Hunt
Megan joined the Board in 2024. Megan comes from a background in education, government, place-based philanthropy, and health. She graduated from Alpine Valley’s Community Leadership Program in 2022. She is a passionate advocate for our region and holds a deep appreciation for community and regional development. Having moved to the region from New Zealand over a decade ago, she values the importance of community, connection and diverse opportunity. Megan has joined the AVCL Board as she believes the organisation offers something very unique for the future prosperity of the region and our people.
Konrad Kucianski
Konrad brings a 20-year financial services careers having worked at a number of banks including within superannuation. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Commerce and is a lean six sigma black belt. Konrad is also a Chartered Accountant and a certified product owner. Konrad has a strong interest in the growth and prosperity of regional Victoria and is looking forward to giving back to the community.
David Armstrong
David is the Executive Principal of Wangaratta High School, with extensive experience in educational leadership, both in Australia and internationally. David holds an MBA and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). His focus is on fostering excellence in education through innovative programs, supporting leadership, and building strong communities. David is passionate about developing young people and staff, ensuring they have opportunities to grow and succeed.
