Amplify Myrtleford Community Leadership Program

Amplify Myrtleford Community Leadership Program is a transformative program designed to upskill and empower individuals from Myrtleford and surrounds. Delivered by Alpine Valleys Community Leadership with facilitation by Susan Benedyka, the program is supported by Regional Development Victoria’s Tiny Towns Fund and Alpine Shire Council, and will enable participants to develop essential leadership skills while building connections that strengthen their community.

Applications for the 2025 Amplify Myrtleford Community Leadership Program are now open, closing Friday 7th March or when capacity is reached.

You can expect to:

  • Experience tailored sessions on leadership, resilience, conflict resolution, public speaking and more.
  • Participate in interactive workshops and real-world scenarios.
  • Engage with local groups, agencies, organisations and emergency services for practical insights.
  • Gain tools and strategies to sustain and grow community initiatives.

You will:

  • Grow as a Leader: Develop skills to lead confidently and navigate challenges effectively.
  • Build Community Resilience: Collaborate with others to create sustainable solutions for Myrtleford and surrounds.
  • Expand Your Network: Connect with local leaders, organizations, and community groups.
  • Drive Positive Change: Contribute to shaping a vibrant and inclusive future for Myrtleford and surrounds.

Program Dates:

  • Sessions 1 & 2: Community Leadership & Partnership Building & Collaborations – Sunday 23 March (Full day)
  • Session 3: Conflict Resolution & Communication – Wednesday 2 April (6pm – 9pm)
  • Session 4: Our Community – Connections, Resilience & Community Group Sustainability – Wednesday 23 April (6pm – 9pm)
  • Session 5: Connecting with Services – Wednesday 14 May (6pm – 9pm)
  • Session 6: Public Speaking – Wednesday 4 June (6pm – 9pm)
  • Sessions 7 & 8: Activation, Reflection & Celebration – Wednesday 2 July (6pm – 9pm) OR Sunday 6 July (Full day) – preference to be agreed upon by cohort.

 

Program Eligibility:

  • Aged 18 and over
  • Live, work or are connected to Myrtleford, or a surrounding township
