Our North East Adaptive Futures cohort hit the road this week to explore what adaptive leadership looks like in the Goulburn Valley. Led by program facilitators Chris Mirams and Dr Gary Saliba, over two days the group visited GO.FARM, Noumi, Plunkett Orchards, Shepparton Art Museum, the Victoria Drought Resilience Adoption & Innovation Hub in Dookie, and Agriculture Victoria‘s Tatura SmartFarm.
Across each visit, participants heard from people leading change within their organisations and communities, gaining insight into the opportunities, trade-offs and decisions that come with navigating environments increasingly shaped by drought, climate, and change. Taken together, the case studies demonstrated that leadership takes many forms, and are shaped by local people, places and circumstance.
