Driving change in the Upper Murray

The program empowers Upper Murray community members to learn how to think differently; not only to tackle challenges of any scale and size, but to create transformative change in their own lives, and in reshaping the future of our thriving and vibrant region.

The program runs over 10 days, including a study-tour to Tasmania. Participants are immersed in hearing from some of the best and brightest minds, including Nuffield scholars, innovative operators, and entrepreneurs. The aim of the study tour is to not only witness first-hand how others in regional settings have reimagined their community, but to understand the practical elements of leading change.

LOCATION

North East Victoria & Tasmania Study Tour

You Can Expect To:

Build personal capacity, skills, networks and confidence.
Learn key leadership fundamentals for building relationships.
Gain knowledge regarding the importance of resilience, health, and wellbeing in our communities.
Learn what other communities are doing to support future growth and development.
Participate in a study tour to Tasmania to explore the practical elements of theoretical change.

The Leadership Program gives you tools to help improve your skillsets, abilities and different areas of development as a leader in our community.

Eligibility Criteria

Aged 18 and over
Live in, or contribute to, the Upper Murray
Be currently involved with, or aspire to, contribute to the community

Investment

Through the funding secured, there is no cost to participants, though personal costs may be incurred during the trip to Tasmania.

Commitment

10 full days, including an overnight opening retreat, and a five day study tour to Tasmania
Opening retreat must be attended
Participation within 80% of the program is needed
