Young people in Gympie, as the next generation of community leaders and custodians of nature, are being given the chance to create a vision for their place and to offer them a vibrant and connected future. - Gympie, QLD
We have partnered with The Resilience Canopy to deliver a Pathway to Practice pilot — connecting leadership with action on the ground to build stronger, future-ready communities.
Through this pilot, 10 AVCL Alumni have the opportunity to take part in the Resilience Canopy Practitioner Program at no cost.
The Resilience Canopy is a national movement supporting communities to lead their own resilience journey — building strength, connection, and readiness for the challenges they face. The program takes a different approach: one that’s self-determined, locally led, and backed by the tools, relationships, and partners needed to turn ideas into action.
The Pathway to Practice pilot is your chance to apply your leadership skills through real community resilience projects in North East Victoria. Undertake The Resilience Canopy Practitioner Training Program over 4 sessions and learn to engage and empower communities to lead their own resilient future
Program includes 2 online half-days & 2 in-person full days. All 4 sessions required.
• Mooroopna: 31 Jul, 6–7 & 12 Aug
• North East Vic: Spring 2025

This pilot partnership is offering 10 AVCL Alumni a free placement in the Resilience Canopy Practitioner Training Program, valued at $2,680.
