Wrapping up the Amplify Myrtleford Community Leadership Program

On Wednesday, participants came together for their final session alongside stakeholders and community members who role-played in a crisis scenario, putting everything they’d learned into practice. From navigating uncertainty to working together under pressure, they approached the challenge with care, clarity and collaboration.

The session then rounded out with a celebration, including the presentation of graduation certificates by Alpine Shire Council Mayor Sarah Nicholas, AVCL Deputy Chair Sophie Enders, and Fiona Nicholls from Into Our Hands Community Foundation and GROW Myrtleford+.

Congratulations to all graduates, including Janine Milne, Sean Hynes, Margaret Phillips, Leesa Borsi, Jocelyn Ceccanti, Daniel Pusvacietis and Sylvie Huigen. Over the past few months, you’ve built new skills, strengthened your connections, and gained the confidence to take action on what matters in your community.

Thank you to all who made the program possible, including Regional Development Victoria’s Tiny Towns Fund and Alpine Shire Council. Special thanks to Karen van Huizen MAIES and team for their consistent support and belief in the value of community centred efforts. And a huge thank you to our facilitator, Susan Benedyka supported by Suz Christison, for guiding the journey with insight, warmth and skill.
