Participants of the Amplify Myrtleford Community Leadership Program are now mid-way through their journey; building skills, connections and insights to strengthen their community.
The cohort recently visited the Ovens Incident Control Centre, where Jarrod Hayse, District Manager – Ovens Fire District (DEECA), and Karen van Huizen MAIES, Emergency Management Coordinator at Alpine Shire Council, shared how local knowledge, coordination and trust shape emergency response across the region.
The program is made possible through Regional Development Victoria’s Tiny Towns Fund and Alpine Shire Council.
