VRCLP State Leadership Summit

The Victorian Regional Community Leadership Program's annual conference will be held at Waurn Ponds near Geelong on Tuesday, 22 August. Come along and be a part of the discussion on intergenerational leadership. Network with staff and graduates from other Community Leadership Programs - and listen in to The Great Debate!

The Great Debate? Get ready for Victoria’s biggest debate of intellect and strength, as two teams of local and national comedians reason, beg, borrow and steal to be the champions for 2017. The subject will be topical, controversial and divisive and the comedy will be free flowing, hard-hitting and at times incompatible.

On the negative team will be: Lawrence Mooney from Postcards, Have You Been Paying Attention, Agony Uncles and Dirty Laundry, and Nayuka Gorrie, a freelance social writer who has contributed to SBS Comedy, NITV and The Saturday Paper. On the positive team will be: Fiona O'Loughlin, who started out as the winner of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s (MICF) Best Newcomer Award in 2001, and who has gone from there, together with Rob Braslin, a popular stand-up comedian who has also appeared in successful TV commercials and the ABC TV series Rosehaven.

2017 Graduation Evening

The AVCLP's Graduation Evening is the highlight of our regional calendar, where leaders of community organisations, Government, and business join with our alumni and supporters to celebrate the achievements of our newest graduates. We are thrilled to announce that our guest speaker for the evening is Nigel Collin.

Nigel is a successful entrepreneur, author and speaker. He is the man behind Absurd Entertainment, one of Australia's (first and) largest entertainment design companies and is an alumnus of the Disney Institute. We include key messages, from Nigel's latest book 'The Game of Inches', in our annual program.

We warmly invite all community members, prospective AVCLP participants, graduates, sponsors and supporters of community leadership in Northeast Victoria to join us.
