AVCLP Alumni
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world;
indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has – Margaret Mead
The Alpine Valleys Community Leadership Program has assisted in producing an array of graduates serving in high profile leadership roles across the region.
The first Alpine Valleys Community Leadership Program was delivered during 1998- 1999. Since then Alpine Valleys Community Leadership’s Annual Program has developed the skills, knowledge and networks of over 480 emerging community, government and business leaders. The Program has played a significant role in developing the leadership capacity of the Northeast Victorian region and beyond, producing leaders that understand what it takes to lead in a regional or rural environment.
Alpine Valleys Community Leadership provides regular opportunities for the Alumni of our Annual program to connect with other alumni. The AVCLP graduation evening attracts a broad array of stakeholders and regional leaders, and throughout the year AVCLP alumni are invited to stay connected through participation in a variety of short courses, skills workshops and events that the organisation delivers.
AVCLP alumni form part of a greater network of Statewide community leaders, as upon graduation they also join the Victorian Regional Community Leadership Programs network. This network of graduates from Victoria’s Regional Community Leadership Programs is more than 3,500 strong.
